‘Is it just me’

‘Is it just me’, Lola’s latest collection of paintings, was a continued exploration of motherhood and her life as a working artist and mother that began in her previous body of work ‘Tier’. This series began in January 2020 and was further shaped by the many stops and starts that the Pandemic placed upon studio time. The challenges of that time, adjusting to new restrictions on movement and time spent without family and friends, became the gift of time spent with the people within our four walls, of reconnecting and slowing down, a new appreciation of life as it was before and the little things we took for granted. Time in the studio became precious and infrequent and gradually ‘Is it just me’ took shape on the canvas in stolen hours after homeschooling and housework. Released on the 27th January to our mailing list, ‘Is it just me’ sold out almost immediately. We hope to release Limited Edition prints of some of these paintings in the coming months. Lola is back in the studio and will be releasing her next collection this autumn.
