‘Galway Emerges’, 8th July - 9th August

As part of the Galway International Arts Festival program this year, Lola will be taking part in a group show in the Kenny Gallery. ‘Galway Emerges’ a reflection on Galway featuring ‘established and emerging artists alike, in a myriad of media, styles and approaches’, will be officially opened on Saturday 9th July by Galway City Arts Officer, Gary McMahon, at 2.00pm. Not only have Kenny Gallery been organising exhibitions and showcasing original artwork for the past 75 years, featuring works from Jack Yeats, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol and Robert Ballagh to name a few, they are the oldest online bookshop in the world and the first Irish business to go online. Kennys Bookshop & Art Gallery holds a special place in the heart of all Galwegians so to take part in an exhibition there during the renowned Galway International Arts Festival is truly special.
