Other Irish artists include Robert Ballagh, Sean Scully and Jim Fitzpatrick to name a few, each charged with creating a piece to commemorate the victims and their surviving families. Lola’s piece was inspired by and created for the children who lost their lives that day - “Everyone remembers where they were on the morning of 9/11. Looking back on it now, as a mother, the unimaginable sadness of losing a child…that was forefront in my mind when painting my piece ‘Playground’”
